On October 1, 2026, the Launch Event of SemiExpo Vietnam 2026 was held in Hanoi, bringing together leaders from SEMI SEA and NIC, as well as domestic and international companies operating in the semiconductor industry.
In the role of the authorized partner of Siemen EDA in Viet Nam, Vietbay was invited to represent Siemens EDA to attend the event. At the event, Ms. Dam Thi Hong Lan, Director of Vietbay, shared Vietbay’s journey of working alongside NIC and SEMI SEA to promote the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry since the launch of their initiatives in Vietnam by the National Innovation Center (NIC) and SEMI Southeast Asia (SEMI SEA).
Over the past four years, Siemens EDA and Vietbay have actively participated in activities supporting the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem, including sponsoring thousands of licenses for advanced EDA tools for NIC, SHTP, and 20 leading universities in Vietnam, in line with the spirit of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)signed with NIC and SHTP in early 2024. The Train-the-Trainers program was also implemented to strengthen the capabilities of university lecturers in using and teaching EDA tools. These are practical initiatives demonstrating the commitment of Siemens EDA and Vietbay leaders to supporting the development of high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.
2026 marks the fourth consecutive year that Siemens EDA has supported SEMI activities in Vietnam, beginning with Vietnam Semi 2023. At SemiExpo Vietnam 2026, Siemens EDA – Vietbay will showcase technology solutions covering the entire semiconductor development process, from chip design, verification and testing to packaging and manufacturing, featuring platforms such as Calibre, Tessent, Tanner, DFT, and more. Visitors and guests will have the opportunity to experience EDA solutions integrated with Agentic AI and AI-Native EDA technologies, including Calibre Vision AI and FUSE AI, which help engineers analyze data more efficiently, automate tasks, and optimize design workflows.

SemiExpo Vietnam 2026 introduces several notable developments compared with previous years previous years, including a significantly expanded scale with double the exhibition space, the introduction of the Energy sector, a dedicated Talent Zoom session for students and young talent, and the Supplier Program which aims to create more practical collaboration opportunities and enable Vietnamese companies to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor industry value chain.
