On the afternoon of 27 April 2022 at Ha Noi, Mr. Alex Teo – Vice President and CEO of Siemens Digital Industries Softwares SEA, Mr Vo Hong Ky – Director, Siemens DISW Việt Nam and Mrs. Dam Thi Hong Lan Director, Vietbay has paid a meeting with Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Duc Quy – Rector of HAUI and visited Smart Factory Research Center at HAUI.
At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Duc Quy appreciated the sponsor of Siemens and positive results of the cooperation between HAUI and Siemens DISW, Vietbay, and Estec during development of Smart Factory Research Center at HAUI. This center is considered as a new milestone of the applying progress of technology for training and research at the university. The research center open great opportunities for a thousand of students and lectuters to have a practical experience of Industry 4.0 technology and help to provide high-quality personnel for industries in Viet Nam. This center also is supporting to achieve ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) cerfiticate for the university.
Mr. Alex Teo highly appreciated with the history of the university, really happy with the success of cooperation between Siemens, Vietbay, Estec and HAUI. The Smart Factory Research Center is the proof of the strategic vision of the rector as well as recognization of Siemens partners’ capability of Vietbay and Estec. Mr. Alex Teo says that this is the biggest digital smart factory research center in the university that he visits which includes 5 labs: Product Design and Validation, Tool Engineering and Additive Manufacturing, Digital Manufacturing, Basic and Advance Automation System Labs.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Duc Quy has shared about the strategic direction of the university in the role of the leading practical training university of Viet Nam to meet requirements of personnel resources of Industry Revolution 4.0. Beside improving the current training programs, the university has developing new coures of Tooling Engineering, Robot and AI… and focus on applying new technology in training and education, and research. Therefore, the university is very interested in developing cooperation with the leading industry technology corporation as Siemens to sponsor and support and transfer technology for training and researching.
He emphasized: Siemens, Vietbay and ESTEC have a lot of experience in providing technology and support to many universities in Vietnam and look forward to have more supports and cooperations sofar.
