During the two days of June 6-7, the 9th international conference on “Design and Verification of Integrated Circuits” (ICDV 2024) took place in Hanoi. This event was coordinated by the Institute of Information Technology – Hanoi National University. Organized by the International School – Hanoi National University. With the goal of exchanging ideas, discussing research results, and presenting chips, circuit designs, and applications in the semiconductor and semi-conductor fields, the conference brought together nearly 100 experts and scientists in the field. IC fields from universities, research institutes, and domestic and foreign businesses attended.
This is an important event to discuss taking advantage of scaling and dealing with new problems, calling for contributions on new proposals on application systems, VLSI architecture, and design methods., as well as technologies and applications in the field of devices and integrated circuits.
Attending the conference were 6 reports for the plenary session (keynote), 4 reports inviting thematic sessions, and 48 scientific works by participating scientists from many countries around the world. In particular, the event also included a presentation by Siemens EDA deputy director in charge of PacRim user interface verification solutions, Mr. Michael Chiang, on the topic: Survey of ML applications in functional verification. In the sharing article, he showed how current ML technologies support design functionality verification. With clear analysis and specific examples, he showed what we need to do next to use ML in verification. Thereby, helping guests understand ways to leverage ML to increase verification speed and accuracy.
