On the afternoon of April 27, 2022, representatives of Siemens Digital Industries Software, Vietbay and ESTEC paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy – Rector of the university chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting, on the side of Siemens Digital Industries Software, there was the presence of Mr. Alex Teo – Siemens PLM Vice President and CEO of Southeast Asia region, Mr. Carson Lee – Southeast Asia Partner Development Manager, Mr. Vo Hong Ky – Siemens PLM Vietnam Country Manager, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen – Sales Director; Ms. Dam Thi Hong Lan – General Director of Vietbay Company; Mr. Vuong Ngoc Hoang – Director of East Sea Technology Engineering Electrical Automation Company (ESTEC) and some technology specialists. On the side of Hanoi University of Industry, there was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Quy – Rector, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien – Head of the Department of Personnel and Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Le Viet Anh – Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh – Director of the Center for Enterprise Partnership.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Duc Quy – Rector of the school appreciated the positive results in cooperation between Hanoi University of Industry and Siemens Digital Industries Software, Vietbay, ESTEC over the years. He wishes to strengthen the cooperation between the parties in training and support HaUI for equipment and technology transfer. He emphasized: Siemens, Vietbay and ESTEC have a lot of experience in providing technology support to many universities in Vietnam. Hanoi University of Industry hopes that the cooperation between the parties will contribute to bringing many practical benefits, contributing to the process of innovation and development of Vietnam’s industries in the 4.0 period.In 2019, The Smart Factory Research Center Project according to 4.0 standards began to be implemented at Hanoi University of Industry on the basis of cooperation between 4 parties including Siemens Digital Industries Software, Vietbay, ESTEC and Hanoi University of Industry. The project marks a breakthrough in the cooperation relationship between the parties. The project is in its final stage and will be put into operation this year.
The delegates visiting the Smart Factory Research Center
According to the cooperation agreement, Enterprises will transfer technology, hardware and software equipment; provide training to staff and lecturers of the university. When the center is in operation, it will create an advanced learning environment for lecturers and students of Hanoi University of Industry to research and test modern technology solutions through software such as: Design NX CAD, NX CAM programming, Solid Edge design, analysis software…
On behalf of Siemens Digital Industries Software, Mr. Alex Teo – Vice President and CEO of Southeast Asia region highly appreciated the facilities and application technology-oriented training model that Hanoi University of Industry is applying. With Siemens’ strengths in technology development, Mr. Alex hopes the two sides will reach many cooperation agreements on training and technology transfer in the future.Witnessing the preparation, implementation and construction of the Smart Factory Research Center Project, representatives of the parties hope that the Smart Factory Research Center will contribute to improving the quality of training, scientific research in the fields of engineering and technology at Hanoi University of Industry.
