NIC and Siemens DISW cooperate to develop an innovation ecosystem in Vietnam

Speaking at the conference “Applying technology to accelerate innovation and conquer the global market” taking place today (January 26.1), Mr. Bob Jones – Executive Vice President, Global Business Department of Siemens – citing Statista predictions, worldwide spending on digital transformation is expected to reach $3,4 trillion by 2026. And according to Gartner, 91% of businesses participate in some form digital initiatives and 87% of senior business leaders say digitalization is a priority.

In fact, Vietnam is considered one of the countries with a dynamic innovation ecosystem thanks to the rapid development of the digital economy and the strong growth of the technology sector. In 2022, Vietnam’s digital economy will grow 28% compared to 2021 from 18 billion USD to 23 billion USD, the highest increase in Southeast Asia. Not only that, Vietnam’s digital economy is forecast to grow twice as fast as GDP by 2030 (19% compared to 9%).

According to Mr. Huy, right in Hanoi, NIC has also cooperated with Siemens DISW to build a digital experience space for the smart factory field. These technology solutions help manufacturers identify technology application solutions that can be applied and deployed in businesses.
